I am a perfectionist. To be precise it is better to say: I suffer from perfectionism. I know that it is not in my favor. But it just happens. I am what I am. And I have to deal with it every day. I really had to teach myself to embrace coincidence. And I did this by sketching. Leaving on the paper what was put there... do not erase!
I work figurative because I can. But... while painting I feel completely free to leave reality and create a new version. I do not want to simplify or abstract, but rather enlarge a detail and explore the materials I work with.
Is that being an artist? Or am I a painter... simply. Maybe the last option is better... :)
